Department questions
Will rods reduce the sound of every part of the kit by the same amount?
Cymbals, heads, force and room all contribute. Check overlay sizes separately if covering specific parts of the kit is the priority.
What if the grip changes more than the sound I wanted?
Compare the rod diameter with your usual stick. Hot Rods are 0.550 inches across and Lightning Rods are 0.530 inches, even though both are 16 inches long.
Can I choose a rod by color alone?
Check the model number, bundle material and strand count. Some families use similar wraps while their bundles and handles differ.
