Innovative Percussion AA25 Orange Cord Mallets
When to choose it
Start with the AA25 if you play vibraphone and marimba and both instruments permit this head. Innovative Percussion places it in the medium grade and uses orange cord over a hard rubber core. The core material and overall head grade describe different parts of the mallet.
The rattan handle is a useful comparison if your current pair uses birch. Try the same phrase at your usual grip to judge the shaft before changing head grade. The manufacturer calls the AA25 medium. One listing bullet says soft, so confirm the grade if it is required by your part.

Questions about this accessory
Can the hard rubber core and medium grade both be correct?
Yes. Core material describes what is inside, and the maker’s medium grade describes the complete cord-wrapped head.
Will the same mallet suit every set of bars?
Follow the guidance for each instrument. The maker names vibraphone and marimba for this model.
Which model should I compare for a different shaft feel?
The birch Balter B25B is an option for vibraphone. Compare the shaft, head grade and contact before switching.
