Vic Firth American Classic 2B Wood Tip
When to choose it
Choose the American Classic 2B when you want a thicker handle and a little more reach than Vic Firth’s 5B. The 2B is 0.630 inches across and 16¼ inches long. The 5B is 0.595 inches across and 16 inches long. Compare both dimensions before switching if your current grip already feels full.
This 2B keeps a hickory shaft and wood tip. If the added width is useful but you need substantially more length, compare the 17-inch oak PW2SW. It shares the 0.630-inch grip diameter but changes the shaft wood and other parts of the profile.
