When to choose it
Buy the SO-10 if you need to cover one 10-inch drum that your existing mute set leaves uncovered. It sits on the drumhead, so you can add it to a mixed-size kit without replacing a head or buying another complete pack.
Measure the nominal head size rather than choosing by the drum’s position on your kit. A 10-inch rack tom needs the SO-10. If the small drum in your setup is 12 or 13 inches, select that size from the same line. This is an individual drum overlay.
